This is a great tool to assist any student on a path of career exploration and personal discovery!
People ask, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" Students often answer, "I'm not sure." We get that. There are more careers available than the average teen knows. That's why JA partners with companies across Northern California who volunteer to talk about the variety of jobs that make their company run. Employees discuss their education, why they chose their career, and the path that brought them there, giving teens a real sense of direction on how to find their own passion.
There are many video recordings available of the 2020-2021 special series - JA Job Shadow, JA Virtual Career Speakers, and Special Student Events. Feel free to view as many recordings as you wish! Register once*, pick the programs you want to see, and we'll send you an email with access to each one. Below are 3 categories of video recordings. Once registered, there is a link on each page allows that you to move to the other pages to request more video recordings.

JA Job Shadow shows students how to be entrepreneurial thinkers in their approach to a career. Students will learn the education and skills needed in the many different jobs offered by each company.
1 - 2 Hours Each
In the JA Career Speaker Series, volunteers share information about their current careers and the education that got them there. The JA Career Speaker Series introduces students to different career paths, why they are relevant, the education needed for each career, and why the volunteer loves their job.
