The first step of making the bandsaw box was to glue on a extension of wood to increase the length of the box as shown with the line of glue on the right side of the wood.
Then I cut out a trapezoid out of the original piece of wood. This will be the shape of the box .
First, cut a 1/2" off the back of the wood. This will be glued back on later. Then, cut through the outside and cut the drawer out.
Then, glue back the part of the frame you had to cut through to get to the inside. Next, glue on the 1/2"inch of the back that was cut of in the previous step. This will be the actual box.
Next, cut off a 1/2" off of the front and back of the new piece. This piece will be used to make the drawer and the front and back pieces will be glued back on later.
Then, cut out a trapezoid shape out the piece from when the border was cut out. Next, glue the front and back to the drawer piece.
To make the handle, I cut out a 1x1 piece of wood using the bandsaw
Next I brushed some wood Varnish on the drawer to make the wood look darker.
Then I repeated the previous step with the outside of the box.
The finished and final design.
