Objectives:
The project aims to foster mutual understanding and cooperation among young people by encouraging openness, tolerance, and respect for the richness of different cultures, while also reinforcing the idea of a peaceful and united world. By learning about other cultures, young people will broaden their perspective on global diversity and recognize that people can live, think, and act in different ways. At the same time, the project will emphasize that, despite our differences, in our hearts we are all human beings with similar needs and feelings, capable of working together, building friendships, and creating an inclusive and understanding society.
Project goals:
Popularize projects co-financed by the European Union, ensuring that more people are aware of such opportunities. In addition, the youth exchange will promote the citizenship of young people and deepen their understanding of the common values of the European Union.
Promote intercultural understanding and cooperation by enabling young people to experience cultural diversity directly and to recognise that, despite different traditions and backgrounds, human needs and emotions are universal.
Foster tolerance, respect and open-mindedness by encouraging respectful dialogue about differences and similarities, contributing to a more inclusive and accepting environment among young people from diverse cultural contexts.
Improve communication and language skills by helping participants overcome language barriers and find common ground not only linguistically, but also through shared values, emotions and experiences.
Strengthen teamwork and cooperation skills by engaging young people from different countries in joint tasks, problem-solving activities and collaborative learning processes.
Encourage active citizenship and community engagement by empowering young people to become ambassadors of unity and cooperation in times of social division, both during the project and in their local communities.
Promote dialogue and break stereotypes by demonstrating that stereotypes often arise from lack of knowledge, and that direct interaction and shared activities reveal more similarities than differences between cultures.
Develop intercultural competence and adaptability as long-term skills necessary for living and working in today’s globalised society.
Create long-term impact by supporting the formation of international friendships and networks that can lead to future cooperation, as well as contribute to participants’ personal and professional development.
Raise awareness of the influence of social media on stereotype formation and provide young people with real-life intercultural experiences as an alternative to algorithm-driven and often biased online narratives.
Engage local communities and stakeholders to support and sustain project initiatives, ensuring long-term benefits for young people.
