So for these images, it is pretty straightforward. As you can see, the picture on the left is a screenshot that I took of a picture on one of my friend's Snapchat story. But seeing as how it has the Snapchat information still in it, I decided to clean the picture up and put a black and white filter on top of it. What you here see is the final result.
Cropped the image
Used the spot healing brush tool to eliminate the arrow
Added a black and white layer
Added a Levels layer
I took this image and decided it can be improved. I cropped out the outer edges because of the username and chat bar that were making the image ugly. After that, I noticed the small arrow that was above the chat bar, and I realized that if continued to crop the image, it would be off-centered and would look awkward. So I used the spot healing brush tool and filled the space making it look like the wall behind it so I could keep everyone on the couch as the center point of the image. Then I added the black and white layer and adjusted the levels, to darken the more dark colors of the space tapestry behind us. Then I brought the white layer up to increase the light that was on our faces. Finally, I added the levels layer, and using this layer I adjusted some of the colors, such as the purple and blue of the space tapestry, and decreased them.
I liked this image and decided to not make any changes to it.
Attribute: My friend Summer Vaughn for taking this picture, and my friend Isiac for putting it on his story
