This was my attempt to make an image taken by one of my friends while we were on a trip to Yellowstone look like a painting through some photoshop editing.
Art History Brush Tool (different brush settings used for different parts of the painting)
Image (provided by my friend Jakobi)
So first I took the image from my camera roll and placed it into photoshop. I played around with the different types of styles in the art history brush and decided on a tight medium in order to make the water. Then used a loose medium for the sky to give it those longs strokes and give more definition to the clouds. Then I decreased the size of the brush to 5 to keep most of the definition in the land and trees the center point of the image. I used the three different types of brushes going from the biggest one and decreasing the size in order to really bring your eyes to the center of the image.
I applied some changes and made the sky and trees more the focal point by cropping the image, and I brought out the colors more!
