Professor of Psychology at the University of Cordoba (Spain), Visiting Scholar in the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge, member of Wolfson College, member of LAECOVI research team and affiliated member of Violence Research Centre, University of Cambridge. I am a highly experienced scholar in the field of longitudinal prevention of violence (especially in schools and online), working in the field of Developmental and Educational Psychology and Criminology. Broad experience in research internationally. I direct a highly productive research team including PhD students and postdocs. I have successfully directed many major national and international research projects. These include competitive calls (e.g. Spanish Ministry of Science, Spanish Ministry of Education) and projects conducted by invitation (e.g. US Department of Homeland Security, the Anti-Defamation League). I am highly connected with a network of international scholars. Editor-in-Chief of Aggression and Violent Behavior. I have recently been listed as the ninth most productive scholar in the field of cyberbullying worldwide, and I am listed among the 3% top world scientists in 2021 and 2022 Stanford Ranking. I have published in top journals in the field (e.g. Child Development; Trauma, Violence & Abuse), mainly as a leading author, but also as a PhD and postdoc supervisor and sometimes as a team-member. I have been an invited speaker in international conferences across the world and I have published over 100 journal articles focused on bullying, cyberbullying and related topics, mostly in high impact journals. My post-graduate and undergraduate teaching and PhD supervision are mostly related to youth violence. I am a member of Cambpell Collaboration Crime and Justice steering committee.  Consultant of Cambridge Assessment International Education. Scientific Advisor for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
