I am Associate Professor in Psychology in the University of Cordoba (Spain). I am a Visiting Scholar in the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University and a Visiting Fellow in Wolfson College, Cambridge University. I am a member of LAECOVI research team at the University of Cordoba and an affiliated member of Violence Research Centre, University of Cambridge. My main research interest focuses on prevention of problem behaviours in young people, including bullying and cyberbullying, with particular attention to personal and contextual risk and protective factors. I have participated in and led several research projects, including a major project granted by the National Spanish Research Programme and a project granted by Public Safety Canada, both focused on cyberbullying and cyberbehaviour. I am currently a director of four major research projects focused on problem behaviours online and offline (including bullying, cyberbullying, cyberhate, substance use, radicalisation, and dating violence). I have been an invited speaker in international conferences across the world and published dozens of journal articles related to bullying, cyberbullying and related topics in high impact journals. My post graduate and undergraduate teaching and PhD supervision are mostly related to youth violence. I am a consultant of Cambridge Assessment in relation to positive school climate promotion.
