• Everyone has that one place that they wish they could escape to. Write about your favorite place. Describe this place and explain why it is your favorite place.
• People come and go in our lives, but we always have that one person who will have a special place in our hearts. Write about the most important person in your life. Describe this person and explain why they are so important to you.
• We all dream about what we want to do one day. Write about what you want to do one day. Describe what you want to do and explain why you would choose this.
• Role models are people that we look up to. They are people who we want to model our own lives after. Write about your role model. Describe this person and explain why they are your role model.
• Think about an important historical event. Write about this event. Describe this event and explain why it is important.
• Think about someone that you can be around all of the time without getting sick of. Write about one person you would choose to be stranded on an island with. Describe this person and explain why you would choose her or him.
• Everyone has an activity or hobby that they enjoy doing more than others. Write about your favorite hobby or activity. Describe this hobby and explain why you enjoy it.
• There are many holidays celebrated around the world. Think about your favorite holiday. Write about it. Describe this holiday and tell what makes it special. Try to include details like sights, smells, sounds, tastes that come to mind.
• There are many topics to explore in school. If you could learn about anything in school, what would it be? Describe this topic and explain why you would want to explore it.
• There are millions of restaurants. Imagine that you were just hired to choose the restaurant of the year, which one would you pick? Describe this restaurant and tell what makes it better than all of the other restaurants.
• Imagine if you got to choose one grade level to do twice. Which grade would it be? Describe this grade and tell what makes it better than all of the other grades.
• Imagine being allowed to choose a class pet for your classroom. What would it be? Explain why this animal would be a good pet.
• Think of your most valued possession, or item. Describe this item and explain why it is so important to you. Use descriptive words to help "paint" a picture of this object.
• Think about all of the people that you look up to. If you could be anyone for one day, who would it be? Write about the person you wish you could be for a day. Describe the person and explain why you would want to be them.

• Think about a famous person whom you would like to meet. Describe this persona and explain why you would want to meet him or her.
