What: 13th Annual IHSA Track and Field Officials Level 1 Clinic

When: Sunday, January 28, 2024

Where: St. Charles East High School Sports Complex (by tennis courts)

Time: 9:00 am. to 3:00 pm


Description:

This is a Level 1 Clinic. We are targeting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year IHSA Officials.

T&F Officials of any year of experience may attend and receive IHSA clinic credit.

“Hands-On” Clinic. We will put a starter’s pistol in your hand.

Athletes will be available for demonstrations for Starts Only.

As an IHSA Official, you will typically be the Starter and the Referee. You will learn to manage the Starting Line and make basic decisions with all the Field Events.

Coffee/Donuts, Refreshments and Lunch will be provided.

Meets all IHSA Clinic requirements.

There will be DOOR PRIZES!,! Including a 9mm Starters Pistol and Hisonic Speaker!!

Cost: $50. ($60 at the door)

Clinic is FREE to officials who have completed the Mentoring Program.

A big thank you to Mike Powers for putting in many hours to plan, organize, 

and execute an excellent clinic.  

The 2024 clinic was a great success.

54 officials attended the clinic.  35 were officials in their first, second, or third year.  

Thanks also to St. Charles East for allowing us to use their facility and for the athletes that gave their time to allow us to practice starts. Thanks to the coaches Brad Kaplan and Mike Kososki for getting the athletes organized.
