Isabel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Folkwang University of the Arts (Essen, Germany), where she trained as a professional orchestral flutist. She also holds a Master of Arts in Cultural and Media Management from the KMM Institute at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg. This program complemented her artistic foundation with extensive knowledge in cultural policy, law and economics, communication and organizational management, and education. Isabel is additionally a certified ALP Trainer through the Reflexive Music Academy (New Jersey, USA).
Since August 2023, Isabel has been serving as Lecturer in the Arts at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), where she teaches Music, Performance Studies, Cultural Production, and Arts & Cultural Management. Within the School of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities, she leads the Outreach Committee, supporting strategic communication and community engagement.
In 2024, Isabel also joined the Employability & Entrepreneurship Office as a Co-Op Faculty Mentor, collaborating with international companies to place AUI students in long-term professional learning experiences. She currently serves as Manager of Work-Based Learning Programs, overseeing the development and coordination of Co-Op, Remote Work, and Alternance models in addition to her teaching responsibilities.
Isabel conducts the Voices United Choir, the university’s student choir, which she has directed since 2023.
A musician since childhood, Isabel has extensive experience across diverse musical environments, including symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, performance art settings, and solo concert work. She has also worked professionally as a Cultural and Media Manager, gaining experience in concert agencies, concert halls, public relations and web media, and television production.
After relocating from Germany to Morocco in 2010, Isabel continued developing her work in education and cultural practice, teaching and consulting with a focus on creative process, collaboration, and human development. Her pedagogical approach is deeply informed by her training in the ALP/Playground Approach (by Keren Rosenbaum), emphasizing embodied listening, relational awareness, and creative resilience. As an ALP Trainer, she has contributed to several international projects, including the Active Listening Playgrounds in Morocco (in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Rabat) and in Greece (in partnership with the International School of Peace).
From 2015 to 2023, Isabel worked at the Al Akhawayn School of Ifrane (ASI), a private American-curriculum K–12 school associated with AUI. She served as Music Teacher for all grade levels and held leadership roles as School Culture Coordinator and later Upper School Principal. She also coached the Grade 12 Senior Project. Isabel earned the Teach-Now Teacher Certification from Moreland University (Washington D.C., USA) in 2021.
