Cub Scout Pack 654 is based in Irvine, California, and is a member of the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America. Our charter organization is the Kiwanis Club of Irvine.
We are a proud Family Scouting Pack, and welcome all boys AND girls in 1st thru 5th grade from the Irvine area. We primarily serve the Woodbridge area and have members from many local elementary schools, including Meadow Park, Stone Creek, Eastshore, and Springbrook, among others.
Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs.
Scouting embraces the outdoors through camping, hiking and water sports. We also focus on helping our communities through service projects, STEM development and building confident kids through our wide range of activities. The Cub Scout program is designed to develop physical, mental and emotional fitness. Fitness includes the body (well-tuned and healthy), the mind (able to think and solve problems), and the emotions (self-control, courage, and self-respect).

Pack 654 goes beyond the badge to offer Scouts a wide variety of experiences through the course of the Pack Year.
We love to camp! We offer two camping trips a year, in Fall and Spring. If your family is new to camping, this is a great way to learn the ropes with the help of lots of experienced campers.
Special events include our Pinewood Derby, an annual “Blue and Gold Banquet” to celebrate the birthday of the BSA, and offer our Scouts fun and memorable experiences with their families. Other, optional events like our Rocket launches and local Scout Days and Nights with the Anaheim Ducks or the Renaissance Pleasure Faire let our Scouts bond together outside of the regular Pack meetings. Check out upcoming and past events on Facebook to see some of these great events.
We also offer the opportunity for Scouts to earn special awards for their hard work, beyond just earning their rank badges. This allows Scouts to dive deeper into their areas of interest and be recognized for their efforts.
The Pack Year for Pack 654 aligns with the typical school year (Sep – May), but we also have optional fun Pack events during the summer.
As part of our Pack, you’ll typically attend 2 - 3 events each month during the school year.
Your “Den”, which includes girls or boys at the same grade level, will hold their own meetings once a month, and may schedule a monthly outing as well to earn belt loops and work towards your Den badge over the course of the year. Den meetings are typically held at a family's home or one of the abundant local parks we have here in Woodbridge.
All the "Dens" together make up our "Pack". We have one “Pack” level meeting or special event per month that brings together Scouts of all grade levels. Pack Meetings are typically held on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday evening on most months, from 6:45 - 8:00pm, and Special Events are usually held on Saturdays.
