FINAL UPDATES
CHANCE OF RAIN THIS WEEKEND - PACK ACCORDINGLY
The weather forecast shows a chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. Be Prepared and bring the right gear for the weather. Have your family dress in layers to easily adjust to changing weather conditions, including a rain-proof jacket. If you have an EZ-up, please bring it so that we can have as much rain cover as possible for your family and the Pack. Here are a few more tips and tricks for camping in the rain from REI: https://www.rei.com/blog/camp/12-tips-camping-rain
SPECIAL EVENT - TRUNK OR TREAT
On Saturday afternoon, there will be a "Trunk or Treat" for the kids! This is a style of Halloween trick or treating where children solicit candy and other goodies not from households but from car trunks in an entertainment style similar to tailgating. Parents are encouraged to decorate their trunks and participate in this amazing FUN and hilarious event. Prizes will be given to the top three decorated trunks. PLEASE bring enough candy for 200 youth.
BRING COSTUMES IF YOU HAVE THEM
Related to the Trunk or Treat, please have your kids bring Halloween Costumes if you have them. They're a great fun addition (though not required) for the Trunk or Treat!
DON'T FORGET YOUR CLASS A UNIFORM
Scouts will wear their Class A official Cub Scout uniform during the opening and closing flag ceremonies, and then will change into their Class B T Shirts for the camping activities.
BRING YOUR MEDICAL FORMS IF YOU HAVEN'T TURNED THEM IN
If you haven't completed your A and B Medical forms for each member of your family, fill them out (link: ) and bring them to the Campout. The Pack will keep them on file for the remainder of this year in case they're needed.
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS WEEKEND, LET US KNOW
If you can't make it to the campout this weekend, you may be able to get a refund of your fees. We have several families on our waitlist hoping they might be able to attend, and if we're able to replace your spots with one of those families, we can refund your fees. Let us know THIS MORNING if you're not going to be able to make it so we can notify those families.

Camping Tips
- After campfire all Scouts should brush their teeth and wash their faces. There is nothing more attractive to bugs and ants that a sticky s’mores face overnight!
- Never bring food into your tent. Crumbs and odors last and attract everything from bugs to bears!
- A good sleeping pad will keep you warm overnight. Air mattresses and cots bring cold air to your underside where the sleeping bag is compressed. A quality foam pad provides insulation. Feet still cold? Wear a knit / stocking hat!
- Put tomorrow’s clothing in your sleeping bag overnight so it is warm when dressing. Early morning is the coldest time so put on a hoodie or hat and gloves.
- Rewash mess kit, utensils, coolers and cooking gear after returning home before storing. We can get them reasonably clean in camp with warm soap wash, warm rinse and bleach finish.
