Plenary and Students Talks

Plenary talks

Held on Zoom supported by the OSA

1 hour long: 45 min exposition + 15 min Q&A

1 OSA UNAM Student Chapter moderator:

  • He/She will allow viewers to talk and ask a question
  • He/She will support the speaker with their presentation


Students talk

Held on Zoom supported by the OSA

15 min long: 10 min exposition + 5 min Q&A

1 OSA UNAM Student Chapter moderator:

  • He/She will lets viewers talk and ask a question
  • He/She will support the speaker with their presentation

More than one expert on the field:

  • The invited speakers will be on the chat room of their respective fields and are expected to participate in it.
  • The should specially give some feedback to the presenters if possible.

Poster session

Posters will be posted on both Facebook and Twitter allowing questions and discussion on the project as a forum format.

  • There will be a schedule for the posting according to the field the work belongs to.
  • The presented works will be evaluated by the invited speaker for a competition. Giving feedback is essential to the event.
  • A special format will be requested.

Education Fair

All Grad Schools will provide information relevant to them and the attendees will have access to them:

  • Informative videos
  • Projects/Researchers
  • Important dates
  • Facilities
  • Twenty minutes talks given by Grad Schools: live video Q&A session at a specified time (grad school fair).

Student Chapter Competition Session & Outreach content

  • Streamed and stored in youtube for everyone to see.
  • The Networking Activities will be both a chatroom with industries and informal talks with researchers. We will encourage industries and researchers to make virtual tours to their facilities.
  • The planned workshops will be recorded on Zoom, edited, and then posted online.
