Currently, there's forced migration happening within Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, ordered a plan to remove African migrants after Eritrean groups clashed in Israel. This occurred after Eritreans in south Tel Aviv injured a dozen people when conducting bloody protests. Construction lumber was being thrown, pieces of metal and rocks, shop windows, and police cars were smashed. The Israeli police attempted to control the protests with riot gear, shot tear gas, stun grenades, and live rounds. The prime minister is ordering an immediate deportation of those who participated in the protests. Eritreans said they fled their country due to conflict and repression, but Israel recognizes few asylum seekers and is not obligated to keep them.
The most known voluntary migration to occur in Israel is post WW2. Jews did not see a future in Europe after the war and decided to establish the state of Israel on May 14, 1948. They welcomed Israel as a land where they won't be a vulnerable minority again.
