I studied Medical Laboratories at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa (TEIL) in Greece and my Bachelor thesis was on "Exchange of bacterial genes and resistance to antibiotics".
In 2015, I pursued a Master's degree in "Bioinformatics and Systems Biology" at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). I conducted my Master's thesis "Genetic variation and patterns selection in European Honeybee (Apis mellifera) populations" as part of the European project SMARTBEES.
In 2017, I was awarded the Marie Skodowska-Curie European scholarship in order to pursue my pre-doctoral studies at the university Rovira i Virgili (URV). I completed my PhD project "Analysis of microbial populations in wines through NGS methodologies" having published six scientific articles and I acquired my PhD degree with Cum Laude distinction.
Since 2021, I am part of the "Integrative Genomics" lab as a post-doctoral researcher where my main focus is the integration of multi-OMIC data for the development of statistical and machine-learning predictive models that could be applied on complex diseases.
