InHappy wanted to make an EP. He had made several Singles and Albums in 2022, but this would be his first EP of the year. The idea for the title 'The Opening Act' came to InHappy after he recorded the song 'Introduction'. Other names like 'The Opener' were considered.

'The Opening Act' was ultimately chosen because it was the easiest title to write a song around. This EP features InHappy's first vocals.

Each song demonstrates how InHappy has grown since Lemon. The 'Introduction' track to set the stage, 'On Our Way' and 'Late' have amazing instrumentals and 'Spaceship' features InHappy's first 7-part harmony. The song 'The Opening Act' is InHappy's first released lyric.

The song 'The Opening Act' is about musicians trying to make it big in the music business, trying to be discovered by music labels, to be happier on what feels like a lonely day. It also features one of the only InHappy guitar solos so far in his discography.

The Opening Act is a must-hear EP.
