Both songs on the single had been in the works for a while, but weren't finished until March 2022. The song 'Flying' had been recorded with the idea in mind that less is more. There are also some very improvisational parts to the song. 'Wild Forest' was recorded to be a weird song from the start, InHappy had wanted to make a song like 'Wild Honey Pie' for a long time and with 'Wild Forest was finally able to do that.
