I came up with the song 'Stars' at a music store I went to. I just started fingerpicking a melody, I then added to it, and eventually the song 'Stars' came into form. I had tried recording it on the day I had written it (July 21st, 2022) but I didn't get any good takes until the day after. I then added horns and some delay effects and the song was finished.

Like 'Stars', the next song on the single 'Forever' took ages to get correctly! I probably did almost 70 takes of it within a 1 hour period.  There is really only 3 layers to the song, but each one had it's own challenges. The main guitar bit is another fingerpicked melody. The "bass" part wasn't an actual bass, it was a guitar with some effects added to it to make it sound lower than it was. These 2 parts took me multiple hours on August 21st to get perfect. The harmonies are 3-parts that I did all myself, after several long hours of listening, recording, and perfecting the same song, it was finished.
