It was super fun getting to know my classmates in this week's discussion board. I made the connection that a lot of my classmates have similar thoughts about IST, which is little to none. I'm in the same boat. We are in this class to excel in coding, basic IT history, privacy, hardware, etc. Having access to the PSU databases guided me to pick scholarly articles when needed for upcoming assignments. I was also able to learn to strengthen my use of APA formatting and how to correctly cite where I got my information. During the reading material, the interactive models helped me get a grasp on the week's material. The most interesting topic in the introduction reading was "Troubleshooting" where I was able to identify technology problems, and the best solution would be. I now know where my prior knowledge of IST stands, and how I want to dive deeper into this class to learn more, especially about the history of IST and how we are able to do the things we do today, like artificial intelligence, building robots, communicating across the world, that we couldn't do decades ago!
