About Independence Bands
Since 2019, the IHS Bands Program has become an integral part of the Loudoun County, VA community. Over 240 students participate in the program, performing at competitions, concerts, pep-rallies, football fames, parades, and graduation. If there is a school event, the BAND is there! We are proud to be part of the United Sound peer mentorship program, offering musical education opportunities for special education students. Catch these amazing students at Concerts, Marching Band events, and Winter Guard competitions.
Composed of five ensembles which are Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Select Winds, and United Sound.
IHS Band Boosters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Independence Bands Program. Our mission is to give students the opportunity to learn and excel in various aspects of music, promoting teamwork, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation of music.
