It's the moment you've all been waiting for...it's time to sign up for INDEPENDENCE MARCHING BAND!!! Please read carefully!!
Marching Band consists of Band Camp (Beginning July 27th) and then weekly after school rehearsals. The commitment is less than a sport, but more than a club. It's the perfect thing to teach your child more than just band, as students learn time management, responsibility, accountability, and much more! They also will be a part of the largest team activity at Independence High School! They will get a 0.5 GPA boost for their curricular Concert Band Class as they will receive Honors credit for doing marching band! It truly is a win-win for everyone involved.
We then enter Competition Season, and begin to compete on weekends and the kids have a complete BLAST throughout the process! It is so rewarding watching students work together to achieve a common goal and having a ton of fun while doing it! I know it is tough to think about next school year right now, but I PROMISE you that you want to be a part of this and you won't regret it!
