Lighting and Environmental Factors for Individuals with Low Vision

With Guest Speaker Kerry Isham

This presentation will include discussion of the dangers of blue and ultraviolet light. The availability and benefits of various types of lamps, and how to choose the appropriate ones for use by individuals with low vision will also be considered. Additionally, making informed choices with regard to other environmental factors will be addressed. In order to put these guidelines into practice, participants will take part in a group exercise. APH’s Better Vision Lamp and the Lighting Guide Kit will also be featured.
