Tryouts

Tryouts are MARCH 3rd-5th 2025

Registration for spring sports is now open. Eligibility must be completed in “Final Forms” by Friday 2/28/25 in order to participate in tryouts on Monday 3/3/25. You will need to pay your fees through the pay online system (https://wa-issaquah.intouchreceipting.com) which will open for spring sports.

Tryouts are evaluated by our staff.  It is our mission to ensure an equal opportunity for all students to demonstrate their abilities and potential.  Players are evaluated on the following criteria. 

1. Team cohesion i.e. fit within the larger picture of the team structure. 

2. On field decision making skills i.e. how space is used.

3. Technical abilities i.e. the success rate to execute decisions in different size spaces. 

4. Physical abilities i.e. finding a level that fits each student's physical abilities. 

Soccer is a tryout sport at Issaquah High school. We have ~66 roster spots available each year. 

Mar 3rd - Mar 5th:

Session 1: 3:30-5:00 pm @ IHS (freshmen and sophomores that did not play on a team last year, plus all GKs)

Session 2: 5:15-7:00 pm @ IHS (juniors, seniors and all returning JV, Varsity and Invited players, plus all GKs)

• Note: Practices on Wednesdays for: JV and "C" teams are at 4pm-5:30pm and Varsity at 5:15-7pm.
