About Issaquah High School Soccer
The Issaquah High School Boys and Girls Soccer teams compete in the KingCo 4A conference, one of the most competitive conferences in the state of Washington. The 4A classification is the largest in the state.
The girls' program have made 11 total state championship appearances. The Eagles made the big game twice in the 1980's, won 5 state titles during a 14 year stretch, and runner ups 4 other times. They are currently the 2017 state champions. The season ended with the retirement of long time coach Tom Bunnell. He leaves behind an incredible legacy of soccer and friendship. His presence will be missed, but his impact will be felt for years to come.
The boys' program has recently enjoyed the greatest success in school history posting a record 13 wins in 2009 en route to the program's first ever state tournament appearance, where the Eagles advanced to the quarterfinals. The boys equaled that feat in 2012, with 13 wins and a trip to the state quarterfinals. In 2014, the Eagles topped KingCo to win their first ever league championship and advanced to the first round of the state tournament. The boys have made a record six straight trips to the playoffs.
