At IE University, we are continuously exploring VR learning materials to recommend to our faculty for teaching and learning. We do have some proprietary apps, developed by IE Publishing, and we have acquired licenses for some apps.
In addition, there are materials available through the Oculus Quest 2 store and on the Virtual Reality Youtube channel. Or you can simply search the web for VR experiences.
This is the go-to place to explore applications for the Oculus Quest 2 headset. Like the Google Play or Apple Store for your mobile phone. Even though many apps are commercial, they usually offer a demo access for trial, which often also serves for class use.
You can watch immersive YouTube videos on your desktop, your phone or inside an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. These videos are fully immersive, though typically they are not interactive. The YouTube library offers a great variety of topics.
Here you can find a list of learning materials that have been by IE University professors. We expect this list to be growing over time. We have organized them by subject area.
Meet Anna. Anna doesn’t remember her past, but she has vivid dreams about it. In every one of her dreams, there is a mysterious Key. Will you be able to unlock the mystery behind The Key without sacrificing too much?
"Home After War" is a room-scale, interactive virtual reality experience that takes you to Fallujah, a city that was, until recently, under Islamic State (IS) control. Ahmaied Hamad Khalaf and his family returned home after the fighting subsided.
Explore Ahmaied’s home as he tells you his story about returning to a home that might be booby trapped.
In 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, John Hull became totally blind. To help him make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began documenting his experiences on audio cassettes. This narrative VR experience is an emotional journey into a world beyond sight.
