FAFSA stands for "Free Application for Federal Student Aid". The completion of the FAFSA form is a requirement for all students who plan to attend college and who will apply for financial aid from the school, state, and/or the federal government.

FAFSA opens every year on October 1 for students planning on attending college the following fall. Deadlines for college financial packages will remain the same so it's imperative that you complete your FAFSA as soon as possible!

If you’re a dependent student, determine which parent will need to provide information on your FAFSA form using the Parent Wizard Tool. Typically, only one parent needs to be invited to contribute to your form.
We don’t offer a financial aid program specifically for students who are homeless. However, homeless students can receive money for college or career school if they meet the eligibility requirements for federal student aid and complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form.
If you answer "Yes" to the unaccompanied and homeless question on the FAFSA form, you can complete and submit the form without providing your parent's information.
