A content hierarchy helps visualize required content for the performance. A content hierarchy breaks down a performance into its content (subject matter Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes) to identify where gaps exists and what learners will be required to learn to perform well (close the identified gap).
Through analysis, I identified:
TOP-LEVEL activities (the end goal of what learners will be able to do).
SECOND-LEVEL activities (the skills required to accomplish top-level activities).
THIRD-LEVEL activities (the final attitudes and minor skills that make up second-level activities).
Below is the content hierarchy created for this project providing a comprehensive overview of the UNIT 'Understanding and Managing Your Time-Off.'
Top Level Activities:
Types of Leave and Eligibility
Submitting Time-Off Requests
Checking PTO Balance & Request Status
Leave Policy Compliance and Protected Leave
Locating Resources and Support
