Watch the video below about life in the future. After watching, provide three words that express your emotions.
Technology
Information Technology (IT)
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
ICT is an abbreviation for Information and Communications Technology – defined by Blurton (1999) in the work 'New Directions of ICT - Use in Education' as a diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. These technologies include computers, the internet, communication technologies (radio and television), and telephones.
In Vietnam, the term "công nghệ thông tin" (CNTT or IT) is more commonly used and widespread than ICT. In the Information Technology law issued in 2006, Information Technology is defined as 'a collection of modern scientific methods, technologies, and technical tools used to produce, transmit, collect, process, store, and exchange digital information.' Thus, the concept of IT as stipulated in Vietnam's Information Technology law has been understood as ICT, meaning not only storing and processing data and information through electronic means but also effectively exchanging, communicating, and transmitting information among many people or groups through these means."
