Families can to sign up for a 15-minute slot on June 5. Each slot is $135 and includes 7 digital photos. Additional photos or prints can be purchased with the photographer directly. Note: Rain dates will also be determined when sign-up opens.

Photo mini sessions are a great opportunity to keep up-to-date with your family photos throughout the years!

This is a much beloved tradition at Island Creek Elementary. Each May, the PTA solicits donations of food, drinks and gift cards from the Island Creek community to help support Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week. Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 7 - May 13, 2023.

Who: We invite all parents, teachers, and staff to watch a movie on the sports field.

What: Raya and the Last Dragon

Where: Sports Field, Island Creek Elementary School.

When: 7:30 p.m. (Doors), 8 p.m. (Tentative movie start), on June 26, 2021.

Why: To bring the community, and our children, together again!

Important Details:

• Bring chairs, blankets, pillows, and get comfortable!

• Masks required when not at seats (subject to change based on CDC guidelines).

• Parent/guardians are required to accompany and supervise their children.

• Trash cans will be provided for clean-up after the event.

• The school restroom will be available.

• Glow Sticks are available for purchase $1 (exact cash only) to support the PTA!

• Anita's Frozen Cotton Candy will be available from 6 - 10 p.m.

Who: We invite all parents, teachers and staff to chalk their walk for students too!

What: Draw or write encouraging or positive messages on your driveway or sidewalk with chalk.

Where: Your home, neighborhood, and Island Creek Elementary School.

When: August 22-23, 2021.

Why: Families are then able to read the messages as they walk to the bus or to the school.

Who: Kindergarten parents are often a mix of emotions on the first day of school. Whether you are sad you are dropping off your student or ecstatic that you now have the school day to yourself, gather together with other Island Creek kindergarten parents to mark the start of the school year with a breakfast. Plenty of tissues will be provided!

What: Coffee and grab & go snacks sponsored by the PTA. (while supplies last)

Where: Theatre, Island Creek Elementary

When: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., on August 23, 2021.

How: No registration required. Just stop by!

Who: PTA Members (and those interested in joining!)

What: Please join us for a Q+A with Principal Macrina and hear from the PTA Executive Board. We will also be asking for a PTA Member vote on the 2021-2022 Budget.
