ICDHS 14 New Delhi, the 14th edition of the International Conference on Design History and Design Studies, brings together the voices from various geographies and design domains of histories, traditions and practices. The possibility of polylogue among the multiple forms and scales of design embedded in the conference central theme - Cultures of Design, is exciting for the discourse of Design Studies and Design History.

Travelling from Barcelona, Havana, Istanbul, Guadalajara, Tallinn, Helsinki, Osaka, Brussels, Sao Paulo, Aveiro, Taipei, Barcelona, Zagreb and Bogota, ICDHS has embraced geographical diversity in its short history of 25 years. These gatherings have unearthed original research endeavours, advancements, and agendas within Design History and Design Studies while also fostering inclusivity by providing a platform for contributions from countries not traditionally dominant in these fields.
ICDHS 14, Cultures of Design, will be hosted in 2025 at the national capital of India, New Delhi. A metropolitan city with more than a millennium of history, layered architecture, living traditions, and a population of 20 million, New Delhi will be the perfect venue for the conference.
