Keynotes Announced
ICDHS 14, planned in New Delhi in October 2025, invited scholars and practitioners worldwide to advance the discourse of Design History and Design Studies through their paper submissions.
Authors whose abstracts are successful in the first stage are invited to submit full papers of 3500-5500 words (excluding title, abstract and references). The paper should follow the provided template and submit the following two files by Monday, 10 March 2025:
1. Word Document (.doc or .docx)
2. PDF Document
Name the file with your paper ID (Don't mention your name anywhere, please)
Authors must not include their details in the full paper, as it will be blind-reviewed.
The author details section should be left blank (i.e., 'as is' in the paper template).

The paper submission process for the conference consists of two stages: an abstract of 400-500 words, and, if selected, a full paper of 3500-4500 words. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Each full paper submitted will be reviewed by a member of the ICDHS board and two members of the Programme/Scientific Committee.
First Stage | Abstracts Deadline Over
The abstract should be 400-500 words, addressing the reasons for writing the paper, current approaches, gaps in the literature, methodology, main argument/findings, conclusions and implications, and the contribution the paper makes, particularly in relation to the conference theme.
Second Stage | Full Papers (See Section)
Authors whose abstracts are successful in the first stage are invited to submit full papers of 3500-4500 words. The paper should follow the provided template and be submitted in PDF format only. Authors should not include their details in the full paper, as it will be blind-reviewed. The author details section should be blank (i.e., 'as is' in the paper template).
At the Conference
Authors will be invited to present their paper orally at a sub-theme panel or display an A1-size poster at the poster session/gallery. All full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

The abstracts and papers must be in English to be accepted in ICDHS14.
Authors may use AI tools like ChatGPT to edit and reframe the original content. However, their use to generate content is prohibited.
The organisers won't actively employ tools to identify text generated by any of the AI tools and expect the authors to take pride and responsibility in submitting the original content.
At least one author for each of the accepted submissions must register for the conference for the submission to be included in the conference proceedings.

Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published. Springer Nature does not charge any money for publication of Non-Open Access content. Abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers (less than 4 pages) are not considered for publication.
