At the core of our team philosophy lies the belief that knowledge unshared is knowledge lost. With this principle as our foundation, we dedicate ourselves to tirelessly disseminating our wealth of knowledge to those keen on delving deeper into the realms of STEM and robotics. Our commitment extends to mentoring numerous teams, and we're delighted to present snapshots of our collaborations with these aspiring minds. These pictures stand as a testament to our dedication to nurturing curiosity and empowering the next generation of innovators.
On March 27, the City of Fremont hosted its Spring Into STEAM event, an event where children of all ages (from preschool to middle school) have the opportunity to learn about the various interesting fields of STEM and have the chance to try some hands on activities. Event attendees also had a chance to see past science fair projects done by other students in our local schools. Our team members helped out at one of the booths during this event.
We volunteered at the FLL Regional Competition. We were Emcee's at the tournament because we wanted to be able to encourage the young minds.
We wanted to inform our community about first, therefore we decided to hold first intro sessions to let the community know about First.
Our team was able to display a poster regarding our team information and spread the messages of FTC. The library is a great opportunity to gain youth who are interested in STEM and spark innovation for further learning, growth, and innovation. We hope to gain more passionate and innovative students to participate in FIRST Robotics and celebrate the accomplishments of the next generation of innovators and engineers.
Our team organizes regular FIRST showcases at local libraries and schools where we invite FTC and FLL teams to present their robots to the community. In our most recent showcase, we invited over 6 FTC and FLL teams to display their projects, and had over one hundred community members attend.
Collaborating with Alameda County Libraries, we proudly organize annual 9-week virtual camps in Python and Java for elementary and middle school students across the Bay Area. Our mission is clear: to introduce newcomers to the fundamental world of coding, laying a strong foundation for potential involvement in FIRST programs. These camps serve as a gateway for young minds to explore their STEM interests beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Through this initiative, we strive to cultivate a genuine passion for robotics, while nurturing an appreciation for the values embedded in FIRST programs. Our goal is to empower the younger members of our community, igniting their curiosity and setting them on a path of exploration, innovation, and growth.
