I like to play the flute, chess, and basketball with my friends. I am in the marching band and also help tutor chess at an elementary school.
Hi, my name is Martin. I’m a ninth grader at Mission San Jose High School. This is my second year in FTC. Last year, I helped with hardware and was also a driver. I will be this year’s hardware captain and look forward to helping other students learn hardware while also doing hardware to the team. I hope I will get enough time to help with software sometime. In my free time, I like to play video games, swim, or message friends.
Hi, my name is Derek. I am an 8th grader at Davidson Academy Online, an online school. This is my second year on the team, and I look forward to working heavily on hardware. In my free time, I like to swim and play the guitar. I look forward to learning about outreach and software while expanding my problem-solving and hardware skills.
Hi! My name is Evan and I’m currently a freshman at Gunn High School. I have three years of experience with VexIQ, and this is my first year doing FTC. I have gained a lot of engineering and community outreach experience by being on the team for 4 years, working in all areas of hardware, software, outreach, and driving. I enjoy most STEM-related subjects, so I also participate in various other science and mathematics competitions, winning awards in top-level competitions like USA(J)MO; USAPhO; Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard-MIT, and Caltech Math Tournaments. I am also an Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA Troop 468, winning recognition for outstanding leadership as the Senior Patrol Leader.

Hello, my name is Anish. I am currently an eighth grader at William Hopkins Middle School. This is my first year on the team, but I have done one year of FTC in an older team and one year of FLL in another older team as well. I enjoy mathematics and science, as I have participated in various competitions within those fields. I also enjoy writing for my school’s newspaper, the Hawk Editorial. In Scouts BSA Troop 110, I am currently a Star Scout.
Hi, my name is Parv. I am currently a seventh grader at Thomas Hart Middle School. This is my first time in FTC, and I have also participated in FLL for 3 years preceding this. I am passionate about most STEM-related concepts, and I have taken part in numerous competitions for them. I play the violin in my school orchestra, and I am an active black belt in Taekwondo. I love to program and engineer, tinkering with things that bring me satisfaction.
