As stated in the OC creation guide, you cannot give ranks to your OCs unless you have finished the required training for it. In this page you will learn anything you need to know about the process of obtaining ranks for all your OCs. Ranks are something special in the lore of H.L. , and that's the reason why they require a creative effort to obtain.
To have an already registered OC. (With an ID updated to the database)
Your character must have a Cilt citizen ID, or a Conditional citizen ID. (You can check which type of ID your character has checking the top right corner of their ID)
In the case you want to convert a Neutral or Vortex character into a citizen, please follow the rules for the Redemption arc mentioned at the end.
If you are unsure of what rank to pursuit, you can find all the information you need here.
Follow the instructions:
"Writing and illustration"
Write a short story about your OC and their journey to obtain their rank in the form of a writing:

You can make one training for one OC at a time.
You can ONLY train characters who has a Cilt citizen ID, or a Conditional citizen ID. Neutrals and Vortex are not eligible for rank training unless they've done successfully the Redemption arc (check the end of this page).
Cilt citizens can choose from 4 available ranks; Hunter, Warrior, Medic and Scientist, while Conditional citizens can only train for the Warrior rank.
You can include interactions of your OCs with canon characters if you wish.
Trainees cannot apply for high ranks (sub-leaders and above), red ranks, the Leader rank, or the Vortex mark.
While it is possible for a single citizen to obtain all 4 available ranks if they wish to, we encourage you to not over-power your own characters.
Depending on your story fidelity to H.L.'s lore and universe, and the personal development of your character through the story, your character can recieve the complete rank or just a certain level of training. It has to be said that the rating of your training is totally subjective, as literature can't be rated the same way for everyone, but it will be as fair as possible, so everyone can have their desired ranks. The closer your story is to the lore of H.L. = The higher the chance you can get your full rank on the first try!
You can start and finish your training anytime, there is no time limit.
Kassia, teacher of Hunters: Rookies are usually introduced to the rank by a squad captain who will take them to a small journey in the near neutral lands, still inside Cilt's hunting territory. After that, they are divided in groups and will be trained by high-ranked Hunters. General Kassia will sometimes take in a group or two each year to train them herself.
There is an aditional training inside the Hunter rank, being the Ranger training. Rangers are human Hunters who has been trained to be able to ride on the back of a hybrid companion (with the required tack) and hybrids who has been trained to ride with a human companion on their back safely. This is not an actual rank and has no official recognition by the Council of Leaders, but Hunters are very strict on their training, and due to past accidents, they will only allow those who has completed the Ranger training to ride with a companion.
Zenda, teacher of Warriors: The Warrior training has a reputation for being so physically demanding that it is sometimes considered "brutal" by those uncapable to keep up. The only teacher who has taken the responsability to train the next generations of Cilt Warriors is Zenda, the veteran warrior. It's her job to be vicious in combat and bruise her students to prove them and take them to their limit, all with the purpose to prepare them physically and mentally for the dangers they will face in the Vortex-infested lands.
Tori, teacher of Medics: For all those who say that being a Medic is easy, it's because they haven't been trained by Tori. This cold lady will teach her students the fine art of keeping someone alive and not die trying. Tori is not the only Medic teacher in all of the medic bay, but she is the one who determines who is trully worth the effort to train, and who should better go back home and don't bother coming back. Every Summer, Miss. Tori takes her vacations as a Medic to be a support for her Hunter squad, and is thanks to this window of time that her students are able to survive the exhausting training.
Marcus and Edurne, teachers of Scientists: Despite this rank being considered the most kind and easy-going with their trainees, it doesn't mean it is an easy one. In order to be able to stay and complete their training, rookies must prove themselves everyday generating new knowledge and find creative solutions to real problems. This training is very mentally-demanding, as trainees will often find themselves spending whole nights to finish their assingments on time, not taking care of their basic needs. Marcus Hopper used to be the lead teacher of the Scientist trainees, but after his dissapearance a couple months before Tyler's arrival to Cilt, Edurne has taken his place.
Darius, substitute teacher: Having almost all of Cilt's ranks on his skin, Darius is perfectly capable of being a teacher full-time, but the supreme Leader of Cilt has a busy life, and will only help with the trainings when one of his fellow comrades is unable to do it. He is serious and straight-forward with his teachings, but has the patience of a saint, trait that is very appreciated by his temporal students every time this tired young man shows his face inside the classroom or the training field.
When you finish your training, you need to post the Google Docs document (and the illustration in case you chose the Option 1) on the Discord server on the #finished-trainings channel. Once you share your work in the server you agree to get your work stored in the Archive, and you will no longer be able to edit your training once it is archived, so make sure it is finished at your liking before publishing it.
Your work will be reviewed by either Kira or another moderator, and once they are done reviewing the training, the results will be made public in the #results channel on the Ranks Training category of the server. In the meantime, you are free to share both your writing and artwork outside of the server and in other social media if you wish.
Once the results are public, your character's ID will be updated with the new information, and now you will be allowed to add the rank given to your character's design and reference sheet, as well as to update their backstory information if you wish to do it. From now on, your character will be officially a part of the rank they have worked so hard to obtain, and you can now do more art and writings with their brand new rank.
If you have a Neutral or a Vortex character, and you wish to attempt to incorporate them into Cilt's society and become citizens, there are some steps that must be followed, depending on your character's former actions, background and information about them.
Neutral OCs have a light gray ID.
If you wish your character to become a Cilt citizen, you must write a short story showing the history of this character, and the reasoning behind their change of mind of rejecting the rogue life in the neutral lands and finally want to belong to Cilt. For this story, both Option 1 and Option 2 from the ranks training apply, and you can chose the one you like the most, just take in mind that the topic will instead be about becoming a citizen.
Characters who has successfuly completed this procedure will be granted a new Cilt citizen ID.
Having the new citizen ID, this character can now do training for any of the 4 ranks available for citizens.
Vortex OCs have a red ID.
Since no human or hybrid is marked as a Vortex without a reason, it will be much harder for former Vortex characters to seek forgiveness and be a part of Cilt's society, but depending on the case, it can still be possible. However, if your OC's backstory states they have killed a Cilt citizen in the past, no matter how hard they try, they will not be allowed back into Cilt, no matter if they complete the redemption arc.
First, you will have to write a request for attempting redemption that you will later post in the #finished-trainings channel on the server. This will have to be constructed like this:
Redemption request
Name:
Species:
(if they are a hybrid) Former Neyzan's clan member: (yes/no)
Reason of request:
On the "Reason of request" part, you will have to write a detailed reason as to why this character wishes to become a Cilt citizen. Be careful while writing this, as this will be the main reason of your request being acepted or denied, aside from your own character's backstory and reputation.
If your request has been denied, you will be able to try again after a week. If it was been acepted, new instructions will be given:
The Leaders will send a messenger to deliver a series of actions or a prompt that your character will have to do in order to prove they are worthy of forgiveness. This prompt will have to be developed as a short story with the same requirements as Option 1 or Option 2 of the rank trainings, but it must follow the instructions that has been given previously.
If the prompt is completed and delivered, it will be reviewed and the results will be public in the server. If the attempt was successful, the former Vortex will be allowed into Cilt, and will be granted a Conditional citizen ID.
Having a Conditional citizen ID, this character is only able to train to be a Warrior for the rest of their time living in Cilt.
