Characters

The protagonist of this story. Tyler is a kind and introverted person who has been rejected from society most of his life for being the son of Marcus, but his luck changes after he met Iker, and now he has a new opportunity to decide who he really is. Tyler appreciates a calm lifestyle, but also craves adventure and meaningful relationships for his life. He is the most loyal of friends, and will never leave their side no matter how dire the situation seems to be. He struggles with abandonment and self-steem problems, as well as a lingering sense of guilt and being unworthy of the good things that happens to him, but luckly for Tyler, he no longer has to go trough that alone.

Iker is a snarky, short-tempered, emotion-driven hybrid who has a special talent to get into trouble. He is a fearless Warrior and a very loyal individual towards his Leaders. Iker takes no shit when people points out the mistakes he has done in the past, but deep inside he reconizes he is responsible of is wrong doings. He is kind of an outcast and is afraid of showing his most vulnerable side, but below that rambunctious facade, there lives a caring, gentle and sensitive hybrid who would give his own life to defend those he loves. 

"The world's most (in)famous scientist of the century". Marcus Hopper was the face of scientific progress in his younger years, pushing science boundaries beyond what was originally thought to be possible. He was the responsible for helping the hybrid species to become what they are now, and because of that, the whole population of the E.M. puts the blame on him as the one who allowed the Vortex Accident to happen. He was considered deceased a few years before the revolution struck the Metropolis, and nothing has been known about him since. 

General Kassia is a force to be reckoned with. She is in change of the military forces of Cilt, including Warriors and Hunters under her wing. She leads the incursions to neutral lands and makes sure her people is protected at all cost. As part of the Council of Leaders, she gets her fair share of political power, making her one of the most respected hybrids in all of Cilt. Despite her seemingly intimidating stance, she is a fair, fun and sassy female who likes to be in contact with her comrades, as well as a loving partner who likes to annoy and tease Darius with her mischeavious personality.

Coming from a humble begining, Darius became the first Leader of Cilt when he was barely an adult, and since then he is considered a role model of what a good citizen should aspire to be. He is intimidating, quiet and stoic, and takes his job very seriously, but he's got a heart of gold, and never hesitates to help someone in need. Aside from his usual duties as the Leader of a society of humans and hybrids, he finds joy tending to his orchids at the Council's dome greenhouse, and being a caretaker of children at the daycare.

Adara is maybe one of the most skilled Hunters in all of Cilt, and she takes great pride in being the captain of her own squad of hunters, a role that very few can acchieve. She is assertive, focused and kinda bossy. She sees every member of her squad as her family, and has a deep connection with her teammate and lover Saemus; a hybrid. Very little is known about her life before Cilt as she has made sure to keep it a secret, but many believe she came from a rich family who lost it all in the Vortex Accident, and that Saemus was her companion since then.

This bulky and strong Camaro holds the record as the hybrid with more victories at Cilt's most popular fighing competition tournament; "The Zeingen". Saemus is a proud, reliable and competitive individual, but that nature can take the best from him and transform into a brute if he believes Adara or any of his squadmates are being annoyed or being put in danger. He is very protective of his squad and becomes a gentle giant around his young students, whom he wishes one day could become great Hunters. He and Adara are the leading couple of squad 15, and a well known example of a mixed couple in all of Cilt, visibilizing this new meaning of love wherever they go.

Ciro is the closest thing you'll ever find to a living archive, full of stories and information about Cilt and its citizens, because he has seen it all. This "old" man's trustworty memory and valuable point of view made him gain the favor of the Leaders, specially from Darius, becoming a valuable voice as a councelor for the Leaders. His light-hearted personality makes it easy for him to communicate and be friends with anyone he meets, and his paternal instincts extend beyond making sure his adoptive daughter, Marione, doesn't get into too much trouble. 

The rebelious one, Marione has a talent for seeking problems everywhere she goes, and doesn't care much about the concequences of her actions. Despite her mischevious personality, she has acchieved to become a Hunter alongside her adoptive father Ciro, even if she never wanted that rank, and would very much prefer to be a Warrior instead. Her weapon of choice are throwing knives, and she dreams on the day she can finally be free to choose her own path in life, kicking Vortex and poacher's butts in the process.

Zenda started her life as a fighter on a illegal hybrid fighting facility, completely isolated from civilization. Such background made her a brutal Warrior and a true survivor, and fortunately for her, she no longer has to fight hybrids for survival. Instead, she has become the trainer of new generations of Warriors of Cilt. This lady is very vocal about her unmatched strength and skill, and will be unapologetic about her constant bragging, but she is both respected and loved by her students and comrades alike for that same reason.

With piercing eyes that goes trough your soul, Tori only needs a glance of you to define if you are worth her time or not. This female is well known for her sharp intelligence and ice-cold charisma that effectively turns down any attempt from convincing her to be friends with anybody. She is a brilliant Medic who was also known as a Scientist at some point, but for unknown reasons, she decided to stick with medicine only. This field doctor who is also a Hunter has effectively lost most of her sensitivity to tend to gruesome wounds, and will not feel pity from your broken arm, tho she'll never refuse patching you up (It's not like she has any other option anyways...).

Not every Cilt citizen is comfortable with the idea of sharing space with humans, and Ankor is the perfect example of that. Being him a former member of the Vortex, he appealed for a conditional citizenship on Cilt for his own benefit only, and despite his harsh oppinions about humans, he is still an effective Warrior, not causing enough problems to exile him back into the neutral lands. He is careless, apathetic and does not respect those around him, but his outstanding sense of smell and tracking skills is what makes him a valuable Warrior. He might not be the nicest hybrid around, but his comrades still makes the attempt to at least tolerate him... but those attempts seem to fail most of the time.

"The leader of the Vortex". "Warlord of the neutral lands". "The son of The First". Those are some of the many names he is known by, for his cursed name makes hybrids and humans tremble alike; Neyzan, iniciator of the Vortex Accident. This tyrant leader has created a whole cult around him and his belief of being the one and only descendant from the first hybrid. Being him a self-proclamed "demigod", his subbordinates follow his orders blindly, and will do anything to please the desires of their cruel ruler.  Very little is known about the origins and whereabouts of this infamous hybrid, but one thing is sure; as long as he is alive, he will do anything on his power to make the whole human species suffer, just like his kin did when they were human´s slaves. 

His name alone strikes fear in the hearts of any unfortunate soul who dares to travel the neutral lands. Dheera's feral brutality and nightmarish howls are the reflection of a hybrid's long lost mind and years of abuse in a laboratory, being used for testing of lethal substances specially designed to inflict as much pain as possible to hybrids.  This mess of a hybrid is also Neyzan's most loyal soldier, and he will follow his every order until the mission is complete. His madness made him forget how to talk, and is unable to communicate normally, and the only hybrid who seems to have power over him is none else than Neyzan himself. 

A bright mind, when corrupted, can become the most dangerous weapon. Killian was once a renowned Scientist on Cilt, ganing the favour of hybrids and humans alike, and creating much of the technology that is still being used by Cilt citizens everyday. But all of that changed the day the Leaders found out about               [REDACTED]                . After that his ranks were revoked, and he was sent to his exile to the Vortex-infested neutral lands. But faith had a different plan for him, as Neyzan saw potential on his skills, and welcomed him into his clan. No one has seen the mad scientist since then... or at least, that's what everyone thought. 

Edurne holds a place at the Council of Leaders as the human female representant, and the one in charge of the Scientist and Medic ranks. This woman learned much of what she knows now thanks to Marcus Hopper, back when she was his student and apprentice before the Vortex Accident.  Her calm temperament and focused mind allows her to successfully manage both her high ranks and her time as a single mother. She is a busy person who somehow always has time to help others. 

Being him the only member of the Coucil who has no other speciality rank, Leander has taken the reponsability to make sure all and each citizen on Cilt feels safe and has everything they need. He's got an special talent for dialogue, and he is the guy you want to be friends with when there is trouble, because you can be sure he will find the solution where both parties are satisfied.  He comes from a hard working family, and he values individuals and their roles on a community, focusing more on the unranked sector of Cilt's population, which also happens to be the biggest one. 

Evan started his life as an orphan, being taken care of at a goverment-founded orphanage. As a neurodivergent child, he had trouble interacting with the other kids and developed unhealthy behaviours that would often be described as "agressive" or "antisocial". That was until one day a young ex-soldier of the E.M. named Maverick visited the orphanage to offer his service as guard and helper. Evan created a brother-like conection with this soldier, and slowly but surely he was able to come out of his shell and become the playful and naive kid he was always meant to be. Years passed and Evan and Maverick found their way into Cilt society, and even if Evan is no longer a child and is approaching adulthood, he has no desire to stay away from his brother Maverick any time soon.

Maverick was once a promising young soldier who's biggest dream was to become a hybrid trainer, a brand-new project in the E.M. military where hybrids would be trained to serve their handlers just like K9 units. Sadly, that dream was cut short, when one of his comrades accidentally pulled the trigger of a shotgun directed to Maverick's right leg. After losing half of his leg and being forced to early retirement, Maverick served as guard and helper at a local orphanage, where he met a young boy called Evan who would change his life forever, as he decided to adopt him informally as his younger brother. Years passed, and both him and Evan found their way into Cilt, and since then he has served the cause being a Warrior, fullfilling his dreams of being a soldier and working alongside with hybrids in the most unexpected way.
