In Argentina, more than 20,000 young people are deprived of their liberties, of which 30% have not completed their primary studies. Once the sentences are served, their opportunities for training and access to working life are limited.
The project develop by Deportistas por la Paz, aims to fill this gap and create personal and professional development opportunities for these young people, in the sustainable fashion industry.
Fernando Draier, has been working for 17 years in this organization to achieve a cultural transformation in people, in pursuit of a more just and equitable society, transmitting values such as commitment, respect and responsibility through sport.
In addition to the potential environmental and economic benefits, by targeting vulnerable youth, there is a great opportunity for social impact. The organization seeks the advice of industry experts by creating a social enterprise that will focus on social inclusion. This will include sharing knowledge about which products have to make best practices for the production process, as well as knowledge about what type of marketing would have the greatest potential to generate social impact.
