Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the necessity of new, innovative medical devices to analyze and monitor health is profound, particularly those related to checking heart rate and blood oxygen levels. Due to economic limitations in developing countries, current devices may not be able to meet all the demands. Therefore, in this study, we focus on using PPG technology to create a wearable device that can regularly monitor heart rate and SpO2 levels.
In this research, we tend to design a wearable device using PPG signals which can be used to measure Oxygen Saturation and Heart Rate frequently combined with doing experiments and making comparisons with commercial devices like Pulse Oximeter Fingertip,.. to test effectiveness of the proposed device.
Since PPG signals are vulnerable to outside influence, including motion artifacts, other light noise,.. so we tend to make a system that can limit or even get rid of those effects.
Basic understanding of PPG signal, the factors that affect the PPG signal.
Understand how to process signals: sampling, quantization, evaluation parameters,..
Have knowledge about stimulation (Matlab, LabView, Tina,..), design circuits ( Altium Designer,..),…
