The Stairway to Heaven trail is divided in two main parts. One is a steep trail, where the trail gets its name from. The other side (depicted in the image) is a mixture of temperate forest, boardwalk, and bridges due to the swamp nature of the trail. In this trail, birds, turtles, and many amazing creatures are found. The trail is about 4.8miles.

Baker Mountain Trail, Lake Saranac, Upstate NY

Length 0.9 mi

This beautiful trail is designed for climbers who are beginners, since the trail is very steep and from time to time rocky. Don't be fooled with the distance, because it might be short horizontally, but the trail only goes up. However, the view is so worth it! The best time to visit is during late September and early October, because throughout your drive there and in the trail itself you will see beautiful colors of red, green, yellow, orange: fall foliage! The people in the town are very nice and like to make conversation. This general area, so near the Adirondacks. is a must see!
