Salvia Wendy's Wish
Salvia 'Wendy's Wish' was discovered in 2005 in the garden of Wendy Smith in Victoria, Australia. The exact origin of Wendy's Wish is unknown; nearby in the garden were Salvia 'Purple Majesty', Salvia buchananii and Salvia chiapensis. This salvia was released to the market in 2009 and has now become widely available. We have grown this salvia both in the ground and in pots and it works equally well in both settings.
