Salvia guaranitica

A hummingbird garden is not complete unless it contains Salvia guaranitica. The leaves have a very pleasant aroma. However, hummingbirds are thought to have little to no sense of smell, and it is the tubular blue flowers that they are after and the sweet nectar that is addictive for them. (Note the white pollen on the top of the hummingbird's head.) Even though these flowers are not yellow or orange, they are one of the favorite flowers during the fall migration. For us in zone 4/5, this is treated as an annual, but it is well worth it.
