We all know that beliefs can be factually incorrect but can they also be morally wrong? In the late 19th century philosopher and mathematician, William Clifford, argued in his famous essay that any belief held without sufficient evidence is immoral.
A few years later William James the father of American Psychology, gave a counter argument that unjustified beliefs can be moral. We will explore the implications of each position. All are welcome to join this discussion.
