There will be very limited time to practice this before your checkoff, so coming prepared is in your best interest.
You will only be allowed a maximum of two (2) attempts.
Remember, you must also complete and pass the associated quiz before attending intensives.

Review, understand, and practice sterile technique, including sterile gloving!
Don clean gloves before placing waterproof chuck and performing perineal care.
Perineal care is performed with soap and water.
Always open the sterile Foley catheter tray away from your body.
Foley catheter insertion is a sterile procedure.
Once the non-dominant hand has stabilized the genitals/labia, it is no longer sterile!
Do not let go of the labia or meatus after cleansing; this contaminates the patient.
