There are numerous assessments and skills learned in your courses. You will only be required to validate a selection of those at intensive #1. All others will be reviewed, practiced, and validated within your courses virtually.
Please review each skill and its associated validation/checkoff rubric, then practice! You should use the items in your health assessment and clinical skills bags to practice these skills. You do not need to bring any of those items to intensives. Some skills will not have items in the kits to practice with due to safety concerns.
While donning sterile gloves is not a separate skill checkoff, you must perform this skill proficiently during several other checkoffs. Resources for donning sterile gloves are below.

Donning sterile gloves is an important skill for a nurse. You must complete this for multiple skills checkoffs, such as Foley catheter insertion and tracheostomy suctioning.
Please take a look at the videos below to prepare for this skill. After reviewing, practice! You can use any gloves and set them up like sterile gloves to practice.
