2/23/25 Important Update on Roadie App “Double Back Press” Glitch
Roadie’s latest update introduced a glitch that causes problems whenever users try to press the “Back” button twice to return to a previous screen or app. If you’ve experienced issues leaving Roadie or switching back to your previous app, this is a known Roadie bug.
Our newest HubGigReader (HGR) update resolves this problem by handling the switch-back logic differently, until Roadie issues their own fix. With the latest HGR version, you can return to your prior app or screen without relying on the double-back workaround that Roadie broke. Available on Google Play later on today. In the meantime turn switch back off.
5/13/25 – Important Update: Refresh Mode Performance Boosted
Today’s HubGigReader update includes major improvements to Refresh Mode, making it faster and more reliable when searching for Roadie gigs. The latest HubGigReader update also includes a new workaround that bypasses Roadie’s broken back button behavior. With this fix, Switch Back works correctly again and reliably returns you to your previous app or screen without needing to press "Back" twice. Improvements and reduced lag on older devices with Roadie UI.
What Changed for the Roadie Auto Search?
Improved handling and a new 5-second refresh cycle
Increased stability during continuous refresh sessions
Faster detection of newly listed gigs before they disappear
Better control via the floating button (tap to start, hold to stop)
Refresh Mode is now the best option for drivers who want to catch fast-moving gigs as they appear. Unlike Interval Mode, Refresh Mode:
Stays inside the Roadie app
Refreshes the screen every 5 seconds
Doesn’t waste time switching back and forth between apps
Gives you the fastest possible chance to grab new gigs
