Timaeus讀書會(27 Dec 2015)

The next meeting of our Timaeus reading group will be on Sunday, 27 December 2015, just before the ending of this year. We may meet at meet at Blackbean Cafe at Shilin (中山北路五段527號). Meet at 13:30.

As for the text, we will continue our reading from 77c, where we are going to see how Plato considers about the working of our body in a very physiological way, which is rare in other dialogues. Putting aside the oddity seen from our boring modern eyes, the text will bring us closer to Plato's thoughts on the body-soul relation and the life of human being.

To arrange the date on the final Sunday of this year, it is because our friend Dennis Schilling, who is teaching in Munich, will be in Taiwan during the week. But on the other hand, our young member You-da (佑達) might has been in Germany for study now. Let's pass our best wishes to him!

Recently, we usually read two to three Stephanus pages each time.
