There will also be homework given for each class that will count towards your final grade. See the course syllabus for details.
The goal is to score 85% higher on each test. An overall course average of 85% is required to take the course final exam.
The course final exam must be passed with a minimum score of 85% to complete the course and to be eligible to register to take the state licensing exam.
If you do not achieve a passing score on the course final exam on the first attempt, you may take it one additional time at the discretion of your instructor. You will be required to make at least an 85% on this exam also.
If you do not achieve an 85% on the second attempt of the course final exam, you will be required to complete additional study and testing on the material that your instructor thinks is necessary for you to pass the test. You can also register for an online course at your own expense.
Once a passing score is achieved on the course final exam, students will be sent an invitation to sign up for the state exam.
Registration for the state exam is online at www.goAMP.com and has a prepaid fee of $77.
If you take the state license exam and do not achieve a passing score of at least 70% within 6 months of passing your course final exam, the state requires you to retake the entire 60 hour pre-license course in order to be given another invitation to take the state license exam.
