Water buffalo farming is one of the most profitable agricultural businesses in the world. The two main reasons for this are the high productivity and adaptability of the buffalo.

Water buffalo are used for a variety of purposes, such as dairy, meat and hide. In fact, water buffalo meat is regarded as the best meat produced in the world. The global demand for water buffalo meat has been increasing steadily over the years.

The only drawback is that water buffaloes require a large amount of land to graze on. Therefore, if you want to start your own water buffalo farm, it would be better if you have access to at least 10 acres of land.

There are several different breeds of water buffaloes found all over the world today. However, there are three main types: Murrah, Nili Ravi and Mediterranean. If you plan on starting your own dairy farm then you should consider investing in Murrah or Nili Ravi buffaloes because they produce more milk than other breeds. Most dairy farmers prefer Nili Ravi because they have higher fat content.

On the other hand, if you want to start raising water buffaloes for meat then it would be better if you invest in Mediterranean buffaloes because....

In the summer of 1992, we went to Myanmar for a week. There we visited farms and talked to farmers about domestic water buffalo farming. The farmers kept all kinds of animals: chickens, ducks, geese, piglets, goats, cows and buffalos. We found out that buffalos are very important to the farmers. The farmer can use the buffalos for different purposes. For example, the farmer can use the buffalos for ploughing the field and for transportation or he can sell it for money.
