Thin dressings come in a range from band aids that are breathable to waterproof, to more advanced dressing such as hydrocolloids, in bandaid form for blisters and small to wounds to more complex sloughy wounds

Similar to jelonet but without the greasiness. This is used to hold a cream in place when you dont want the cream to be absorbed into the dressings. Just cut a piece to size. This also stops wound sticking to outer dressing especially if you are using make shift dressing such as gauze, sanitary pads
Comfeel waterproof on flat areas of skin. It is breathable. Absorbs low to moderate fluid and gets rid of yellow tissue. Still may need to tape edges. Not for infected wounds .
Dry surrounding area. Use a cavilon barrier wipe if worried about moisture to surrounding the wound
2. Warm the dressing between your hands . Apply hydrocolloid with 1-2cm bigger than the wound. This is too narrow. Peel off the film and then the green tag. Smooth down the dressing around edges
A day later, and after a shower, one than see some moisture from shower but also fluid from wound. When the area becomes a pale colour for 75% of wound, change the dressing. There may be a lot of fluid but it cleans up nicely Repeat instruction 1
