Google Drawing is a great tool to use for our art projects as well as Social Studies activities. It's easy to use and can be easily saved in Google Docs, uploaded to Google Classroom, or downloaded as a jpg and inserted into your projects.
Task:
Using Google Drawing you will create:
Meme
Postcard
Historical Picture, must include duck and color change to sepia or black and white demonstrated.
Meme:
Your meme must include a rubber duck.
In the top toolbar, click on 'Insert' and go to web.
Scroll down to 'More'. This will open another window. Click on Google Drawings
On the tool bar, go to 'Image' and this will open another text box, click on "Search the web" (Unless you have one to upload from the computer).
Because Google has limited many of their images, it might be best to find an image on the web, save and upload or insert image using the URL. (see example)
Step 2: Drag your picture over or upload go to 'Insert' and upload an image from your computer, or use the image URL.
Step 3: If your picture doesn't fill the space, right click on the background and give it a fill color.
Step 4: Next, add text. You can either add text or Word Art
Step 5: Time to save (don't forget to give it a name). You can save the completed drawing to your Google Drive or move it to a folder on your Drive. You can also download as a picture file, and share...plenty of options!

You can also change the look of your image in editing: Here is a sample of how a Color picture was changed to
grayscale.
Go to "Format Options" and click the drop-down menu to select your color options.
