Governance

I believe in a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. And I believe our School Board should reflect that same philosophy and operate accordingly. . .for the people. . .for the parents. The Board works for the parents. Parents are the final authority for students, not the school system. Parents are responsible for the upbringing of their children. The schools are responsible for their education. This is both theory and law.

A School Board member must have a servant's heart because it is a servant position. . .like all public offices. It should be a position filled by someone with humility and not haughtiness. It is true that it comes with a lot of authority, but my life is lived on the premise that to whom much is given, much is required.

And in all these things, I believe that governing with wisdom, love, and compassion is key.
