I would like to see a curriculum free of indoctrination and gender ideologies. Our students need to know Math, English, Science, and REAL History. I am prepared to block every single resource that tries to enter our schools that pushes Critical Theory and other Marxist ideologies. There is no reason that gender ideologies need to be discussed in an English curriculum. I am more interested in knowing that the most recent method of teaching students how to read (the LETRS Program) is actually better than what we’ve used for years. I look forward to sitting down with teachers and hearing their thoughts about it. If it's good, great! If not, scrap it. Find better. Our children deserve the best. I’m also convinced that Social Studies can be looked at through a lens that does not involve a socioeconomic analysis using a materialistic approach to determine class relations and social conflict. That is Marxism. That is not America. I would contend that if Evolution is taught in a Science class, we can also teach Creationism. We need to really look into the details of what each text book is teaching our children. I am willing to go through them myself if we can not manage to gather committees together that can be trusted to do that job. Obviously, that ball has been dropped somewhere along the line. (That’s a goal too. . .create committees of people that will work diligently to protect the innocent minds of children, that will not allow socialist ideas into the classrooms, that will make decisions that closely reflect the values of this community, AND dispose of committees that do not support the new vision of the School Board to do all of these things.)
